After 3 years tightening Visa policy due to the pandemic, the Immigration Department has just approved Vietnam Electronic Visa for all nationalities.
1. What is Vietnam electronic Visa?
From Feb 01st, 2017, The Vietnamese Immigration Department has implemented the e-Visa ( electronic Visa) which is valid at all international Vietnam airports, Vietnam borders and seaports.
From Aug 15, Vietnam Government grants Electronic Visa for all countries and territories who want to stay in Vietnam for no longer than 90 days.

3. How does Vietnam E-Visa look like?
Vietnam Electronic Visa is processed by the Vietnam Immigration Department which contains applicant’s information such as name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, entry&exit dates/ports. 4. Vietnam E-Visa requirements & how to apply?
- Step 1: Prepare all required documents:
- A passport with six (6) months’ validity
- A photo in .jpg format of your full passport data page
- A passport photo in .jpg format (4×6, white background, without glasses)
- A valid international credit or debit card or PayPal account
- An email address for support purposes
- A temporary address within Vietnam
- Your entry/exit dates and entry/exit points/airports
- Step 2: Filling the application form online at this link
- Step 3: Checking your email and sending required documents as our instruction.
- Step 4: Waiting from 3 to 7 working days (depending on your type of Visa) and we will be send the Visa Letter to you via email.
5. Vietnam E-Visa processing time
Vietnam E-Visa is processed within 4 to 7 working days for the normal cases depending on your Visa type. In the Emergency case, you can get your Visa letter within 30 minutes. The processing time as below:
- Normal case: from 4 to 7 working days
- Urgent case: within 3 working days
- Emergency case: from 30 minutes to 1 working days
- Holiday case: within 30 minutes ( in overworking time including weekends, public holidays)
