How to apply for Vietnam e-visa – 2022 Update

Due to COVID-19 Vietnam Government stopped to issue Vietnam visa up to April 2022. Now all Vietnam visa restrictions has been removed with no self-isolation is required and travel destinations are open.

1. What is Vietnam e-visa?

Vietnam e-visa or Vietnam electronic visa (symbolized as EV) has been introduced by the Vietnam Immigration Department since February 2, 2017. This kind of Vietnamese visa is applied and issued online.

An e-visa for Vietnam is valid for 30 days only with a single entry only.

3. Applicable Ports of Entry for Vietnam e-visa

The applicants are able to use Vietnam e-Visa to enter the following borders, airports and seaports:

International Airports: Cat Bi International Airport (Hai Phong), Cam Ranh International Airport (Khanh Hoa), Can Tho International Airport, Da Nang International Airport, Noi Bai Int Airport (Ha Noi), Phu Bai International Airport, Phu Quoc International Airport, Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City)

Landports: Bo Y Landport, Cha Lo Landport, Cau Treo Landport, Huu Nghi Landport, Ha Tien Landport, Lao Bao Landport, Lao Cai Landport, Moc Bai Landport, Mong Cai Landport, Nam Can Landport, Song Tien Landport, Tinh Bien Landport, Xa Mat Landport, Tay Trang, Na Meo and La Lay.

Seaports: Da Nang Seaport, Hon Gai Seaport, Hai Phong Seaport, Nha Trang Seaport, Quy Nhon Seaport, Ho Chi Minh City Seaport and Vung Tau Seaport.

4. How to Apply for Vietnam e-Visa

Step 1: Filling the application form online at https://www.vietnam-visaonline.org/evisa-services-apply.html

Step 2: Checking your email and sending your required documents (passport scan and your photo with white background).

Step 3: Your visa will be done within 3 to 5 working days and sent to you via email
