Vietnam Government has promulgated the decision no.3207/2008/QD-BNG on 10th Dec 2008 (matched with the general regulation of entry, exit, immigrate of foreign citizens). This policy has become effective since 01st Jan 2009 follow by the approval of Vietnam’s president.
By this, all Polish passengers who obtain ordinary passports (normal passports) are eligible to enter Vietnam without Vietnam visa for Polish passengers (maximum 15 days). As a result of this Vietnam visa waiver policy, all Polish citizens do not need prepare Vietnam visa in advance. They just need travel document or original Poland passport to immigrate legitimately. This program has not been affected by immigration purposes (working or tourist aim).
Interestingly, there are 2 flights between Marsaw and Hanoi/ Ho Chi Minh in average per day. There are 3 outstanding flight agencies such as Aeroflot Russian Airlines, Polskie Linie Lotnicze LOT, Vietnam Airlines. In case you prefer to a cheap flight cost, Finnair airlines is reasonable option and the flight costs from Marsaw (Poland) to Vietnam.

Before travelling to Vietnam, it is better to check whether your passport’s validity is more than 6 months or not (counted from the date you decide to exit out of your country). In case your passport is valid for less than 6 months, you need to have visa so as to enter Vietnam legally.

There are 3 legal methods in order to gain Vietnam visa for Polish passengers:

Applicants who have enough documents such as the invitation letter from legal Vietnamese partners, flight ticket can apply in person at Embassy.
The procedure at Embassy normally takes from 5 to 7 working days. Also, delivery fee is required to pay in advance to send back to applicants.

Based on the article no.30/2016/QH14, Poland passport holders are eligible to apply online throughout agencies to get Vietnam electronic visa since Feb, 2017.
The electronic visa fee is $44. Applicants need to take photo of passport page, decide their arrival port as well as their arrival date and send all above to: [email protected]. The result will be sent back within 3 working days.
