After 2 years of implementation, the Vietnam Electronic Visa has been more extended and opened to another 35 countries which is including United States.
1/ What is Electronic Visa?
Like Visa on Arrival, the Electronic Visa (E-Visa) is an electronic travel authorization from the Vietnam Government which is valid for up to 30 consecutive days. There are 2 types of Visa to choose are Tourist and Business Visa.
Unlike Visa on Arrival, the E-Visa is valid at the airports, seaports and and borders. That’s a big advantage for travelers from US who enter Vietnam by crossing landing border or sea-port.
2/ Which airports, seaports and borders accept Vietnam electronic Visa?
The applicants are able to use Vietnam e-Visa to enter the following borders, airports and seaports:
International Airports: Cat Bi International Airport (Hai Phong), Cam Ranh International Airport (Khanh Hoa), Can Tho International Airport, Da Nang International Airport, Noi Bai Int Airport (Ha Noi), Phu Bai International Airport, Phu Quoc International Airport, Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City)
Landports: Bo Y Landport, Cha Lo Landport, Cau Treo Landport, Huu Nghi Landport, Ha Tien Landport, Lao Bao Landport, Lao Cai Landport, Moc Bai Landport, Mong Cai Landport, Nam Can Landport, Song Tien Landport, Tinh Bien Landport, Xa Mat Landport, Tay Trang, Na Meo and La Lay.
Seaports: Da Nang Seaport, Hon Gai Seaport, Hai Phong Seaport, Nha Trang Seaport, Quy Nhon Seaport, Ho Chi Minh City Seaport and Vung Tau Seaport.
3/ How to get Vietnam e-Visa?
With 3 simple steps, US citizen can get Vietnam Electronic Visa easily:
Firstly, filling the application form online here and settle the payment for Visa fee.
Secondly, after receiving your application, we will send you an email to confirm and ask you to send us your passport scan.
Finally, your Visa will be processed within 2 working days and you will receive the Visa code via email. All you need to do is to print it out and use it to get Visa stamp upon arrival.
Notes:
- The fee for Tourist Visa is 44USD/person and 49USD/person for Business one (stamping fee included)
- A copy of e-visa is compulsory to carry during their stay
- Same as visa on arrival procedure, applicants must have at least 2 blank passport pages
