Vietnam visa policy in 2023 – Can I apply for e visa to Vietnam now?
Firstly, Vietnam visa policy has been changed a lot in 2023. In details, only these citizens from these countries can apply Vietnam e-visa online before arrival.
Secondly, the visa extension is more difficult.
Thirdly, there is no fee required upon arrival.
Next, holding an e-visa letter you have a right to enter Vietnam via international airports, land ports and seaports without submit any documents to Vietnam Embassy.
How to get a Vietnam visa 2023
Currently go to Embassy directly is an old-dated method, especially after Corona disease which happens globally.
According to the Resolution of Vietnam Government 143/NQ-CP enacted since November 04 ,2022, almost citizens from 80 countries can apply Vietnam visa online without going to Vietnam Embassy. This Resolution enhances Vietnam Tourist industry and attracts travelers around the world after Corona disease 2019.
2 Steps to apply and get visa online 2023:
Step 1: fill your information from your passport into the official application form as the below link:
Step 2: Download and print the e-visa letter after getting the result back after 5 working days, 2 working days or even 2 hours or 30 minutes if you apply a rush visa.
Recently the entry and exit form and the Health Declaration form is not required any more upon arrival. All you need is your passport and your e-visa letter.
How far in advance can I apply for a Vietnam visa?
The normal process needs 5 working days and obviously the visa fee is cheapest compared to the rush visa.

How much is the visa fee for Vietnam 2023?
The visa stamp is 25 USD and the visa service is around 60USD to 300 USD depends on the type visa that you apply.

All citizens from Chile, Cambodia, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Laos, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Belarus, Myanmar, Brunei, France, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Japan, Italy, Panama, United Kingdom, Sweden, Spain do not need visa and when re-enter they also do not need Vietnam visa. This policy has been changed compared to the past when they have to get Vietnam visa if they re-enter Vietnam within 30 days.
